Making the end wedge.

So as of this morning, the curly maple was the choice. I needed to setup the bandsaw and resaw some peices for the peghead, wedge and heel cap.

This was the cut peices:

ahhh but wait... maybe the customer would like koa from this cutoff:

she likes the koa! So I cut the peice down and resaw some for a peghead:

And then make a wedge and cut a peice for the heel cap:

I then had to joint the edges and glue the two halves together to make a peghead veneer.

After I started excavating the cavity and fitting the wedge. I will finish with the cavity tomorrow and glue in the wedge and then sand it flush.
