Its all about the abalone

I took monday to sort out some 2mm side dots, drill holes and install the dots.

First the sorting so I can see which dots I want to use:

I have to try and install the dots so they light up when your holding your guitar. Of course I cant match all lighting conditions, so I will settle for overhead lighting:

I then had to put my sidedots back in the bag. I didnt want to have to go through again and choose the perfect side of the dots and place them upside. I decided to put them on some blue tape and put them back in the bag:

Today I finished up the side dots. I then glued the fretboard onto the neck. When the glue dried I then started routing the cavities for the butterflies. I almost finished one and will continue tomorrow:
