I was teaching my daughter how to change her strings and to make sure the balls are sitting against the soundboard. I noticed that the bridge plate is getting chewed up. It's made of a softwood. I think spruce. When we wound the strings they kinda get sucked into the bridge plate. This bridge plate will be no good in a few years.

Today "Mandy is tarting to look like an instrument. I put the end strings on so I can start slotting the nut tomorrow.
